MAGEBU was established as part of the Government's strategic efforts to stimulate trade, attract investment, and integrate more deeply into regional and global value chains. Rooted in the country's long-standing commitment to economic development and regional cooperation, the Free Trade Zone was conceived as a catalyst for industrialization, export growth, and private sector empowerment. Magebu is a legally registered company in Burundi, operating under the country's Free Trade Zone Regime.
